
1. NetSDR Architecture
1.1. Functionality
The NetSDR is a hardware device whose basic operation is to digitize RF signals, perform various operations on the
digitized data and send it back to a client application over an Ethernet network. Various modes of operations allow
synchronization with external hardware control signals, analog bandpass filtering, base band down conversion ,etc.
An optional X2 interface board enables 2 independent RF A/D channels sharing the same power supply and sample
clock. Two separate tuning receiver channels can also be used without the optional X2 plug in but will share the same
A/D, filters and antenna connection.
An example system consisting of an NetSDR and PC Client computer is shown below.
